Today....

I am just thinking about today, well today I am thinking about the years gone by...then I went to my Crosswalk devotion and saw the post about changing places with Rob and I parents and being the older ones at the table and then thinking about the past and what has happened. Like the Walmart storys, right Becca or the pole which got ran into by one of the girls or the times my kids say, mom would never take us to the Doctor, although the reason I didn't was they would not go but they never include that part, they didn't want to go because if they were injured, then there would be no sports for a time.

I have been working on a blog, one about the funny stories and times of our children and our family. Right now it is a work in progress but hope one day it will be readable. I figure get the stories written and then have the kids read them and edit them...you know I can never get a story right....like dobedumb or the story about red ketchup. Those are the stories that only my family know but if I share them, then others can laugh.

The one thing that the lady writing the devotion and myself have learned is that they house will never be clean enough and the list will never get completely finished but if those are your goals in life, then one day, like me, you will look back and see all the things that you could have done but didn't. I sometims beat myself for not blogging or getting on facebook or cleaning off the table that has been a mess for a week but what I am learning is that what is important is that time with the kids, the outdoors sitting in a swing, going to a park, having a fire and coooking smores that will never be replaced. As many of my children are now out of the house, I have realized how many times, the house came first and how much I missed but I like having the reminder that I did have some fun times and enjoyed them with the kids. They have grown up to be wonderful young men and women so I guess between God, Rob and I we didn't do to bad of a job.

Hugs and enjoy the fourth...if you have not seen the fireworks that the Acadamy puts on, then come on out tonight and enjoy them.

Have a great day
Debra and Hope

Ahh good thoughts Deb, I needed that reminder that the house will never be clean enough. I do need to cherish those moments as they do grow so fast.

Fireworks? I think we may have to go
